Parking update
Dear SDTTA Membership,
As we are sure you have been informed, the San Diego City Council has approved a plan to collect revenues for Parking vehicles at the Balboa Park premises.
Included please find a chart (below)

This chart shows the parking locations and proposed fees. For our Balboa Park Activity Center (BPAC) location, there will be Parking Meters on the streets and Parking lots. Our closer lots are highlighted as “Lower (yellow) and Upper (green) Inspiration Point Parking”.
Lower Inspiration Point – Yellow – This is the lot to the right coming in from Park Boulevard (with the solar panels). Here you will be able to park free for 3 hours, but will be charged either $5/day if SD resident or $10/day if non-resident if you exceed the 3 hours. Your driver’s license address will determine your residency.
Upper Inspiration Point – Green – This is the parking lot to the left as you come in from Park Boulevard (closer to BPAC) and here, you will pay $5/day or $10/day depending on residency (no free hours at this parking lot).
There will be a City Council Meeting this Tuesday November 18th at 2:00PM ( @ 202 C street, San Diego CA 92101 on the 12th floor). During this meeting, all the parking options will be discussed.
We need to show SDTTA participation to try to influence and minimize the impact to our membership.
There is a proposal to pay a YEARLY Parking Pass fee of $150 for each resident or $300 for non-residents. These will be discussed during this meeting.
We strongly encourage all our members (everyone) to attend this meeting and participate in the process to minimize the financial impact to our SDTTA membership. Please come to participate and support all the organizations that utilize BPAC (Badminton, Volleyball, Pickleball and Table Tennis).
Looking forward to your attendance and active participation ,
Kind Regards, SDTTA Board

Board Candidate, Ahmed Ghazi

Hello SDTTA members,
Hi, I’m Ahmed, and I’ve proudly served on the board for the past two years. I’m at the club about four days a week, helping with tables, cleaning, and keeping things running smoothly.
Love getting to know our members and hearing out their ideas on how we can improve the club!
If re-elected, I want to bring back the Member Appreciation Tournament twice a year, like we used to, and make sure every member gets the most out of their membership. I’m committed to promoting events, listening to members, and keeping our club welcoming for all.
I’d be honored to have your support and vote!

Board Candidate, Sunil Bulla

I, Sunil Bulla, am a software engineer ,I have been a previous board member for few years. I come to Balboa Park 5 days a week to play and devote time to the great sport of Table Tennis. Most of the days I play, I end up “closing” up the club and making sure people put away the tables and barriers since I stay to closing. My devotion to Table Tennis has been and continues to be almost “ fanatical”, as I always am trying to not only improve my game, but help other people improve their skills and love of the game. During my time with being a board member, I’ve also monitored new people or others who come, to either pay and better yet join the club. I’ve done this so the rules are being followed for everyone’s enjoyment.
My passion for the game for most people cannot be questioned. I’m here to help the board as well as promote the sport. In the past years I have reached out to many recreational players, senior citizens , and pro players from other clubs to join SDTTA and have fun . I have always initiated/encouraged tournaments for our club members (members appreciation tournament ).In closing, I ask for your all-important vote as I hope to represent you. Together we can continue and expand the growth of SDTTA.
Thank you in advance for your support.
