Attendees; Ruben, Danny, Amir, Behnam, Thu and Javid not present (Family Emergency)

ANNOUNCEMENT & REPORT

1-Picnic  – Was postponed and we have not decided on a date. Discussed about October 22nd but was not finalized. Current Priority is the Borko Cup.

2-Borko Cup – who is going to help Javid?

        Amir,Ruben, Behnam, Danny and Javid.

            3-Will help set up the tables scoreboards etc on Friday Afternoon/evening

            4-Will support Javid during the tournament on Saturday and Sunday

            5-Will be participants as scorers, helpers or other duties as needed.

            6-Will participate in the Initiation of the Event and at the Awards Ceremony

            7-Will secure other members in the tear down and putting all equipment away.

           8- Flowers for Borko’s wife (Smiljana) and she will give a short speech. All has been set up for that at the beginning of the event. 

        She will also participate in the Awards Ceremony.

9- Purchase Monday Practice Balls – This Item was completed. Balls were purchased.

10- Harbor Police – Behnam will respond to them that we are willing to send people there for them to practice with the Harbor Police. All Board members agreed to participate and go and play. Benham will update us of progress. Thu will find the original email and forward to Behnam.

11- Board members communicated or texted Patty with their Condolences for the sad passing of her husband. No additional action deemed appropriate at this time

 DISCUSSION & DECISION

12- We need a Beginners Proposal Plan and that Danny and Pisa will work on a proposal and get back to us with a plan. We will vote on it as soon as the plan is discussed, also how much the Club wants to charge this.

Board should consider and make sure if the plan is regarding Coaching!

13- Additional Item: Board Holiday Dinner

Discussed the potential of holding a Board of Directors Dinner Meeting on Saturday December 10th @ 5:00PM at the Texas Road House.

14- There is recommendation is to extend the invitation to Board Member Spouses or Significant others, but their expense to be paid by each Board Member.

15- New SDTTA Shirts – The item regarding the T Shirts was discussed and we decided  on a not to do this at this time.

The club is now closing at 8:30pm on Tuesday and Thursdays. This new time change now conflicts with the Thursday Round Robin and doesn’t allow enough time to finish all of the matches. Because of this, the new start time for the Thursday Round Robin will be 6:00pm.

ANNOUNCEMENT & REPORT

1-Financial statement of August presented by Ruben.

2-Javid became the only USTTA Certified Coach in our Club and very happy to continue his Volunteering Coaching for all the levels and ages every Monday from 5-7pm to show his love and support to our club!

3-Recognition Certificates provided by Javid handed to Ruben to give them to our wonderful sponsors for this year!

4-Formation of election committee run by Phil.

Behnam is going to contact Phil to see if he could help us with coordinating the Board Member Elections!

5-Advertisement Barriers shouldn’t be permanently at the club!

Especially when they are not sponsoring!

There are some blue Barriers with advertising of real estate company from tournaments in past.

6-Purchase SDTTA Shirts for the club and Board members.

Thu is searching online to find the right new Shirts for the club and board members.

7-Thu is going to order the Table Cleaner to clean all tables on August 19th.

8-Thu is going to print revised list of members

9-Behnam get quote for the banners

10-Ruben to send letter to Latece asking to allow to keep the tables open Friday and Saturday of Tournament dates (done)

11-Ruben is going to send Board Meeting schedule to Latece to secure meeting room availability.

12-Replacement of Brand New white board with the old one after Mini Olympic VOL2 on August 20-21.

Javid is planning to use for the upcoming tournament.

13-Provide WiFi for our club

14-Overhead LED lighting retro-installation already voted

15-Friday August 19th is scheduled for all the board members for the inventory, setting and cleaning up the tables and make sure the place is clean and leave the tables in the place on both Friday and Saturday.

After tournament in over on Sunday August 21st all board members will make sure place is clean and all Tables and Barriers are back to storage room.

16-Sunday round robin will end on 8/14/2022. 

We will make an announcement if we are going to continue or not.

Sunday RR tournament attracts around 40 players each week and is very popular. 

17- Participate in set up and tear down. 

Dennis will send email to all members to help out. 

18-Yearly picnic in September 

We are asking members to bring their own favorite food and drinks. We also agreed to ask Simon and Samnuk for help.

19-Advertisement Banner for our Sponsors that operating any kind of businesses on their own expenses to advertise their business only on tournaments day.

ANNOUNCEMENT & REPORT

1-Financial Reports
Statement Financials Summary as of July 11,2022 for the San Diego Table Tennis Association completed and reported by Ruben.

2-Sunday Weekend RR from 11am until about 1pm.
You need to create an account at www.multiroundrobin.com (Click on login/register then under New User click Register, fill the form. For club, type the letters SAN and SDTTA will pop up. For USATT rating

3-Thursday tournament RR you must register before 6:30 same procedure as above. I don’t think you need to confirm with the organizer (Jaxon) if you have registered online.
Note the multiroundrobin.com account is NOT the same as your SDTTA.org account.

4-25 New Barriers and 15 New Scoreboards delivered and added to our inventory for upcoming tournaments and replacement with the old damaged one to keep our club professional look and beautiful for our visitors!
Special thanks to Thu, Amir and few of our members for spending lots of time and effort for putting new barriers together.
Javid could fixed all the old damaged Scoreboards as well except one which wasn’t fixable, Now we have 28 scoreboards in our inventory!

5-Thu sent Appreciation letter to Friendly Car Wash for continue supporting Sundays weekend RR.

6-Amir is going to be out of country from July 7th-September 10th.

7-Our members are able to see the results of Sundays and Thursdays Tournaments very soon.
The site should be linking to SDTTA’s part of https://multiroundrobin.com, since that’s where the results live.

9-Message from Patty Martinez!
Please let all my friends know at the Balboa Park club that I won 3 Gold medals and 2 Silver medals. I owe it to so many there at the club. Including Behnam practice was so valuable! I am pleased to represent San Diego at such a large tournament.

10-Mark to check with his contacts to initiate a draft proposal for a New or Revised SDTTA website including a cost estimate and timing for the Board to evaluate.

11-Javid Introduced Maurizio to Daryl so they can discuss options or ways to make improvements to the website as it relates to Round Robin and Teams Rankins.

12-Senior tournament September scheduled on 25th and run by Steve McGrew.
