Membership

Membership for the SDTTA is open to the public! Nightly play is FREE ‘with membership’. Non-members must pay a nightly fee of: $5.00 per adult / $2 per junior. Yearly membership fee is prorated by the time that you join.

The SDTTA board has been taking turns to make it easy for you to renew your membership. We made it easy to renew online. If you don’t have that ability, just see any board member, and they will accommodate you. Thank you to all that have made it easier for us to renew your membership. We do appreciate your helping us to renew your membership. Since Feb. 1st. we have expected that you will be able to show your new membership card. Please help us by having your new membership card visible on your bag or near the net on the table.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Mark Adelman
Chairman

STEP 1:

If you haven’t already, register with the SDTTA us and make a membership profile. If you already have one, please login and make sure your information is up to date.

STEP 2:

Renew your membership with a credit card, debit card or an eCheck via PayPal by going to the Join Page.

STEP 3:

Print your receipt and bring it with you to the club to get your new membership card from any board member.

Otherwise…

If you cannot utilize the website to renew, just come to the club and see any board member and they will accommodate you. There will be tables at the entrance to the club for you to renew your membership. Adult membership is $100, juniors is $30 and Family are $120 for the first two, and $10 for each additional members (max. $150).

You will be required to show your membership card starting February 1. You must either keep it on your bag or put it on the table close to the net so that a board member will know that you have renewed your membership.

SDTTA

    My name is Barry Carter and I’m staying in Yuma AZ for the winter. Would it be possible for me to visit your club some Sunday in the near future? I’ve heard a lot about the San Diego Table Tennis Club and am excited to see and play there. My USTTA rating is 1818 and I’m from Michigan.

    Is it possible to get a contact and phone number? My number is 517-449-3931.

    Thanks for the help. Hope to see you soon.

    Hi! I have a 9 year old son who likes table tennis. He has only played a few times, but bought a table with his own savings. Are there young boys or girls who come to the round robin or youth coaching sessions? What ages come to play? My son seems talented to me, but I think all children are talented to their parents and honestly he’s only picked up a paddle for a week. However, he is way better than me and I cannot play with him (not necessarily saying much–believe me!). He is a ranked “regular” USTA tennis player, but we don’t even know the real rules of table tennis. We did buy a book! :) Thanks for any advice! Holly

    @Holly
    Hi Holly:

    My name is Mark Adelman. I am the Chairman of the Board at the San Diego Table Tennis Assn. We are proud to have the best Table Tennis Club in the country. We are equally proud to have a Former World Table Tennis Champion along with his wife coaching our Junior Players at the club. You can come to the club most nights and observe the junior players working out with their coaches.

    The round robin is on Thurs. night and starts at about 6:30. The club opens @ 4:00pm so you have plenty of time to warm up before the round robin starts. Your son will be assigned a rating and will play in a group that should be close to his playing ability. His rating will go up or down depending on how he plays and finishes.

    The only day we don’t play is Wed. Mon. we Open @ 5:30, all other weekdays we open @ 4pm. Sat. 9am. Sun. 12pm.

    If you need any other information you can email me @ jomar47819@gmail.com.

    It strictly BYOP, bring your own paddle. You can get cheap ones at Big 5 or for a more advanced paddle, some people at the club sell them.

    Good Afternoon,

    My name is Zach Kover and I am considering joinging your league, however I have a few questions. How do you class up or group up new members to the club. I am fair at the game I would say, but my main intrerest in the club is to become a better player and learn new techniques from more experienced players. Would I be able to play in the tournaments with players closer to my experience level, or how does it all work I guess, is what I am asking. Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

    Sincerely,
    Zachary Kover

    Hello,

    Several of us would like to play in the upcoming August tournament. Do we have to be SDTTA members at the time of registration?

    Thanks.

  22. July 17th, 2010 at 1:37am | #22

    @Allen
    You are very welcome to play in the August tournament. Non SDTTA members are required to pay the $7.00 registration fee in addition to the event fees. If you do not already have a SDTTA or a USATT rating you can play but will not be allowed to advance in the rating limited events. You can advance in the Open and age limited events only. Hope to see you there.

    We are less than 10 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.
